Typecase Support
Quick answers about compatibility, orders, shipping, setup and product support.
Compatibility, product selection and payment questions.
Match the compatibility list on the product page with your exact iPad model. Do not select a case by screen size alone, because several iPads share the same screen size but have different dimensions, cameras or magnetic layouts.
If you are unsure, contact us before ordering and include your A-number.
Go to Settings > General > About > Model Number. Tap the model number once to reveal a code beginning with “A,” such as A1234. You may also find this number printed on the back of the iPad.
Available features and compatible models vary by product. Always review the specifications on the product page.
Unless otherwise stated on the product page, Typecase keyboards use a US English QWERTY layout. You can still type in other languages by changing the input language on your iPad, although the printed key legends remain US QWERTY.
Many Typecase models include a Pencil holder or allow magnetic Pencil attachment, but the design varies by series and iPad model. Check the product images and “In the Box” or specifications section before ordering.
Magnetic keyboard cases are engineered for specific iPad models. Weak attachment, misaligned camera openings or an unstable fit usually indicates a compatibility mismatch. Remove any third-party case before attaching the iPad unless the product specifically supports one.
Available payment options may include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. The payment methods available for your location will appear at checkout.
Processing, delivery, tracking and international orders.
Standard shipping is free for orders delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase. International shipping promotions and fees may vary and are shown at checkout.
Orders are generally processed within 2–3 business days. U.S. delivery usually takes another 3–5 business days after shipment.
Estimated international delivery after dispatch:
Customs, weather and carrier conditions may cause delays.
Orders may ship from our U.S. warehouse or from China, depending on your destination, product and inventory availability. Orders containing multiple products may arrive in separate packages.
Taxes and duties depend on the destination and local regulations. Any charges included at checkout will be shown before payment. In destinations where duties are not prepaid, the recipient may be responsible for fees collected by local customs or the carrier.
Email support@typecase.co as soon as possible with your order number and requested change. We will try to help, but changes and cancellations cannot be guaranteed once fulfillment has started.
We will email you a tracking number after your order ships. You can also visit our Track Your Order page and enter your tracking details.
Tracking can take time to appear after a shipping label is created. International shipments may also pause during handoff to a local carrier or customs processing. If there has been no update for five days, contact us with your order number.
Items may ship separately when they are stored in different warehouses or when a shipment is divided because of size, weight or availability. Each tracking number represents a separate package from the same order.
Check with household members, neighbors, building reception and any shared mailroom or safe delivery location. Review the carrier’s delivery photo if available. If the package is still missing, contact the carrier and then email Typecase Support with your order and tracking numbers.
Some carriers cannot deliver Typecase orders to PO boxes or certain campus addresses. We recommend using a complete residential or business street address. If your address cannot be served, our team will contact you to request an alternative.
Pairing, language, trackpad and battery settings.
The Bluetooth name and pairing shortcut may vary by model; refer to your user manual if needed.
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard, select your language and choose the layout that matches your keyboard. Most Typecase keyboards use US QWERTY. Use the Globe or language-switch key to move between enabled input languages.
Use the trackpad shortcut shown in your keyboard’s user manual. Depending on the model, the shortcut may use Fn with a trackpad key or another key combination. If you cannot identify it, contact Support with your order number or product model.
Open Settings > General > Trackpad. Turn on Tap to Click to click with a light tap. Turn Natural Scrolling on or off to choose your preferred two-finger scrolling direction.
When the keyboard is connected by Bluetooth, add the Batteries widget to your iPad: touch and hold an empty area on the Home Screen, tap Edit or +, choose Batteries, and add the widget. A flashing red keyboard indicator means the battery is low.
Confirm that the keyboard is connected under Settings > Bluetooth. If AssistiveTouch is enabled, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch and turn off Show Onscreen Keyboard. You can also turn Bluetooth off and back on, then reconnect the keyboard.
Quick solutions for keys, Bluetooth, trackpad and charging.
If the issue remains, contact Support with your order number and a short video.
Check that the selected iPad language and hardware keyboard layout match the printed keyboard. Gently clean around the affected key, then reset the keyboard by holding C + R + L for 2–3 seconds and reconnect it.
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard and turn off Switch Languages Using Caps Lock.
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard and turn off Press Globe for Emoji. The wording may vary by iPadOS version.
Mouse Keys is probably enabled. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Mouse Keys and turn it off.
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Slow Keys and turn off Slow Keys. Restart and reconnect the keyboard if the delay continues.
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Full Keyboard Access and turn off Full Keyboard Access. Then reconnect and test the keyboard.
Restart the keyboard and iPad, make sure the trackpad is clean and dry, and test it in more than one app. If necessary, reset the keyboard with C + R + L and pair it again.
Restart both devices and test the gesture in another app. Then reset the keyboard with C + R + L and reconnect it. If one- and three-finger gestures work but two-finger gestures still fail, send Support a short demonstration video.
If pairing still fails, hold C + R + L for 2–3 seconds and try again.
Choose Forget This Device in the iPad Bluetooth settings. Restart both devices, place the keyboard into pairing mode and pair it again. Reset the keyboard first if the problem continues.
The keyboard may be asleep. Press any key and wait a few seconds. If it does not reconnect, confirm Bluetooth is enabled, forget the previous connection, reset the keyboard and pair it again.
If there is still no indicator light, contact Support.
High-brightness and dynamic backlight effects use more power. Fully charge the keyboard, lower or disable the backlight, reset it with C + R + L, and monitor the battery again.
The displayed percentage may fluctuate while the keyboard is charging, especially with the backlight on. Wait until the indicator turns green, leave it connected for another 1–2 minutes, unplug it, turn off the backlight and check again after the reading stabilizes.
Help after delivery and what to send our support team.
Eligible returns may be requested within 14 days of delivery. Products should be unused and returned with the original packaging and accessories. Contact Support before sending anything back so we can confirm eligibility and provide instructions.
Customers are generally responsible for return shipping when the wrong iPad model was selected, the customer changed their mind or the return is for another non-quality reason. Typecase covers the appropriate cost if we shipped the wrong product or confirm an eligible product-quality issue.
An exchange may be available subject to approval and stock availability. Customers are responsible for return shipping and any price difference when an incorrect model was ordered. Do not force an iPad into a case that does not fit.
Typecase keyboard cases include a one-year limited warranty for eligible manufacturing defects. Accidental damage, misuse, unauthorized modifications and normal wear are not covered. Proof of purchase may be required.
